Show Your Spirit, Be a Cheerleader!
Our cheerleading program fosters athleticism, pride, and friendship season after season. Our football season runs from July through October, and there are competition opportunities through November. The PABA coaching staff for our cheer program is made up of experienced adult coaches who are former athletes in the sport of cheer. We use professional music and choreography for competitions, and updated cheers and chants for football games, and focus on the tumbling aspect of the sport.
To make our cheer program strong, we focus on game-day spirit to get the crowd going for our football teams. Or teams are:
Spartan minis : 1st and 2nd grade *(if enrollment is low, we may welcome incoming kindergartners)
Spartan Freshman: 3rd, 4th and 5th graders
Spartan JV : 5th and 6th graders
Spartan Varsity: 7th and 8th graders
* depending on enrollment year to year, ages and grades may be split to accommodate enrollment numbers
* teams may be capped for safety purposes
*not all cheerleaders will be competition cheerleaders. In order to compete on the mat, you will need to have good practice attendance, game attendance, positive attitude, and skill. Coaches will choose these athletes at a given date as the season progresses.
Attendance policy: from the 1st practice until the 1st preseason game, you may miss 3 practices. The attendance policy then “restarts;” from the 1st preseason game to the end of the season, you can only miss 3 practices. Too many misses can result in not competing at competitions. This is for safety purposes.
PABA supplies uniform top and skirt, athletes must purchase Sneakers, bow, body crop, undershorts, warm-up suit.
